***I have a confession to make.I have never properly been taught grammar.I can always remember at primary school we used to skim over it and spend more time on maths. On really good days we would have other subjects like Music and *Topic Time* to get through and English would be missed out all together,in my opinion this was great.Anyway when it came to learning a foreign language my skills in that area were sadly lacking so that's why i bought this book.
**About**
Teach yourself offer a wide range of courses from learning to play the guitar to speaking Latin. All courses as you can tell by the name are designed for people who perhaps don't have time to go to classes or just want to go at their own speed.
The books in the teach yourself series usually have the goals and the content on the front of the book and in this case they are to get to grips with essential grammar,to learn in bite-sized chunks and to check your understanding as you go.
There is a contents page at the beginning but the book is designed in such a way that you don't have read it from front to back, just look up the grammar point you need help with and go to the page.
Each grammar point has an explanation followed by exercises for you to do to make sure you understand. One thing i liked about this book as that it is small so you can carry it to school with you and dosn't add to much to the piles of books you have to carry.
This book costs from around £1 and i would say it is worth it.
